DO’S
- Wash your pillowcase
- Drink plenty of water and stay hydrated
- Stay out of the sun
- Skip active ingredients for 48 hours: active ingredients like alpha hydroxy acids and retinol, etc.
DON’T
- Take a hot shower or use a sauna: You may wash your face the next morning, but try to avoid washing your face the same day after you get a facial. The best facials need to soak into your skin.
- Getting a Face Wax
- Touch your Face
- Wear any makeup. Your skin has just undergone a deep-cleansing session. Give it space to breathe.
AFTER CARE:
After a relaxing facial cupping session, hydrate well, apply a gentle moisturizer, and use sunscreen. Avoid sun exposure, alcohol, caffeine, and salty foods for 24-36 hours. Refrain from intense exercise and harsh skincare products, as the skin needs cooling, calming, and nourishment to maintain the beauty of the treatment.
- Hydrate: Drink two glasses of water with every meal for 24 hours to prevent dehydration and flush out toxins.
- Avoid: Avoid caffeine, alcohol, and salty food for the first 24-36 hours to prevent further toxin buildup.
- Facial Care: Rinse your face with cold or mildly lukewarm water, not hot water. Exfoliate at least 3 days after the facial cupping to avoid damaging the skin barrier.
