Gua Sha & Cupping is an ancient Chinese healing technique that involves firmly scraping of the skin for firmness, suction of fascia to relaxing. Along with the various massage techniques, ancient stones and tools will aid in boosting circulation, firm the skin, break up stagnant energy (chi) and promote healing. These techniques were traditionally used on the body but now they have been adapted in facial therapies, with the firm, scraping motion, facial suction developing into a far gentler, gliding technique for the face, neck and decolletage.
